It is a reflective art activity that opens the present and the future from the past, especially an art activity that takes a look at the shared history and reality of Dong-A City on the agenda of peace. Thus, the art activities of EAPAPAP will not stay in the past but move toward the present and future, and not in institutional spaces such as exhibition halls, but on the streets and plazas, the sites of life such as villages and factories, and on the scene of struggle. o Based on the above recognition of peace and art, EAPAP 2019 is titled `Song of the Isle`. It is set in the EAPAP`s view of sober reflection and criticism of reality based on shared historical perceptions of East Asian imperialism and nationalist violence. The history of the three islands of Jeju, Okinawa and Taiwan has a history of resistance to fight against the violence of the empire and the nation, and suffered the damage of a huge massacre in the process. Through the epic on the island, which shared the history of these protests and killings, the exhibition will clearly show that the peace art that it seeks to talk about is not the art of singing peace, but the art of fighting with the banner of war to keep it at peace. The exhibition`s exhibitors will tell the story of the island they face based on their respective experiences and reasons. Artists from the Korean Peninsula, Hong Kong and Vietnam, as well as the protests and massacres of Jeju, Okinawa and Taiwan, will present an epic of peace based on their respective history and reality. o The exhibition will also hold two special exhibitions at the same time. One is after the Freedom of Expression, and the other is the "2019 Yeosun Peace and Art Festival @Jeju: Fingership. ▶ After the freedom of expression, The exhibition is a turn to spread the meaning and value of the exhibition for freedom of expression by inviting the exhibition, which was held as a section of the 2019 Aichi Trial, to Jeju Island. It is to link the free-of-expression agenda, which heated up the Japanese archipelago, to the East Asian art public forum. It is an exhibition that partly modified or supplemented to the exhibition held in Japan, a chance to comprehensively sympathize and understand the censorship issue of Japan, which was mainly known in Korea as the "Girls of Peace." ▶ 2019 Yeosun Peace and Art Festival The exhibition will tour the exhibition held in Suncheon on Oct. 19, the day the Yeosun uprising took place. It is the venue for the exhibition`s tour of Jeju Island, which deals with the history of the Yeosu and Suncheon People`s Committees` activities, protests and massacre of Korean residents who rose up after refusing to order the Jeju 4.3 uprising to be massacred. 3.
