Ink Insighters
The original intention of curating "Ink Insighters" is about the historical dialectic of the key core of calligraphy and contemporary new interpretation. It can also be regarded as an extension of "Ink Gene" that I was invited by Double Square Gallery to curate in 2016. The purpose is to discuss the responses, challenges and changes of Taiwanese art creators from different backgrounds in terms of material, subject matter, and even thought when facing Chinese traditional aesthetics. The overall scale has expanded a lot this time. 13 artists in total. Including Dennis Hwang, Lin Chuan-Chu, Pan Hsin-hua, Yao Jui Chung, Peng Hung-Chih, Chen Chun-Hao, Fan Jiung-Lieh, Wang Ding-Yeh, Tzeng Yong-Ning, Huang Chih-Cheng, Hu Zai-Qing, Huang Yu-Hao and Huang Li-Ying. More than half of them were never seen in the previous exhibition. And the generation span is huge. Hope that audiences will be able to detect the possibility of dialogue, whether explicit or implicit, while viewing their art works with old and new media to show their personal spiritual texture.
