“How Was History Wounded” is the first in a new series of curated video art exhibitions presented by Chi-Wen Gallery in a cinematic format. The show derives its name from a work by Wang Jun-Jieh and Cheang Shu-Lea from 1989 that addresses government manipulation of major news stories, something that has only become more pertinent since this video was made almost 35 years ago. Other artists participating are YAO Jui-Chung, PENG Hung-Chih, SU Hui-Yu, CHANG Li-Ren / CHENG Yuan / RUI Lanxin and YU Cheng-Ta.
